For Student Veterans

Student Veterans of America is a national organization among U.S. college campuses that provides military veterans with the resources and support they need in the pursuit of higher education.

New York University

NYU Military Alliance is a group for current and former military members within the NYU community and alumni network. The alliance organizes and hosts events and provides information about programs within the university and in New York City, as well as ensures that members of the military community are informed about their benefits and available resources.

Student Resource Center is the center for information about NYU and NYC

Student Health Center provides medical and counseling resources for the NYU Community

Wellness Exchange is a part of NYU’s unique and expanded health services, providing health and mental health wellness programs and services for students. Walk-in visits are welcome, and a private 24-hour telephone hotline will connect callers to a medical professional.

Counseling and Behavioral Health offers students short-term individual counseling, group counseling, self-improvement classes and referrals free of charge. The division also offers psychiatric mediation services (with payment).

Center For Students With Disabilities assists students with disabilities in obtaining appropriate accommodations and services.

New York City

American Corporate Partners (ACP) is a nationwide mentoring program dedicated to helping veterans transition from the armed services to private enterprise through career counseling and networking with professionals from some of America’s finest corporations. ACP currently has 22 participating institutions and is growing.

Service Women’s Action Network (SWAN) supports, defends, and empowers today’s servicewomen and women veterans through advocacy initiatives and innovative, healing community programs. It is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that works to assist and improve the welfare of current and former female members of the military.

Yoga For Vets NYC offers free yoga, meditation, and relaxation classes. Taught by veterans, for veterans!
